The driving force of development is the problems that reveal the difference between the current state and the desired state. Closing this gap signifies progress. Therefore, without development, there are no problems. The reason why the Kanban method is a powerful tool lies in its ability to reduce this gap and facilitate reaching the desired goal.

The triggering factor for change is the inadequacy of the current state. The desired state not only represents the targeted goals but also implies a change in ongoing habits within the organization. The Kanban method assists in achieving the desired change gradually and evolutionarily, helping the organization adopt new habits.

What is the importance of continuous improvement on a personal or organizational level? The answer to this question lies in the concept of entropy, the second law of thermodynamics. Entropy suggests that everything tends to deteriorate over time. For instance, food spoils where it is left, an uncleaned house gets dirty, and waiting tea cools down. Existing processes become meaningless over time, and as environments change, they can no longer function as they used to. In summary, if something is not progressing, it is regressing and fading away. Therefore, continuous improvement, on a personal or organizational level, is essential to resist the law of entropy, maintain the continuity of the current state, and achieve better results.

Continuous improvement is not merely a mechanical process; it also encompasses psychological and sociological dimensions. Thus, managing the transformation process requires an approach that takes into account the psychological and sociological aspects of the work. The significance of the Kanban method becomes apparent in contributing to the effective management of these multi-faceted processes.
